We believe Jesus Christ is not an accessory to life, but the center of all things. Newark Grace exists to help people see, savor, and submit every part of life to His rule and grace. Through the preaching of Scripture, the power of the Holy Spirit, and the life of the local church, we desire to form disciples who treasure Christ above all else.

We long to see ordinary people transformed by the gospel and sent into their homes, workplaces, schools, neighborhoods, and the nations with the hope of Jesus Christ. Our vision is to become a church that makes disciples, raises leaders, plants churches, and helps establish lasting gospel presence throughout Licking County and beyond.

What kind of church will we be?

We desire to be a church marked by faithful preaching, meaningful worship, intentional discipleship, fervent prayer, genuine community, and joyful mission. We want to be deeply rooted in Scripture, serious about spiritual formation, warm toward skeptics and seekers, and committed to the ordinary means God uses to build His church.

Christianity is not moral effort or cultural tradition. It is the good news that Jesus Christ lived, died, and rose again to rescue sinners and make all things new.

We will proclaim this gospel with clarity and conviction so that people can experience the grace, freedom, and new life found in Christ.

The Christian life was never meant to be lived alone. We want to be a church where people are genuinely known, loved, and formed into mature followers of Jesus.

Through Scripture, prayer, meaningful relationships, and life together, we will equip ordinary believers to follow Christ faithfully in every area of life.

The gospel does not stop with us—it moves through us.

We want every believer to see themselves as part of God’s mission: loving their neighbors, sharing Christ, serving their community, raising up leaders, and helping multiply healthy churches throughout Licking County and beyond.

The core values that guide Newark Grace Church are rooted in Acts 2:42–47. In this passage, we see the early church devoted to Scripture, prayer, worship, community, and mission as they gathered around Jesus Christ and lived together in the power of the Holy Spirit. These values shape who we are, how we live together, and how we seek to make Jesus known in Newark and beyond.

SCRIPTURE

God’s Word is the foundation of everything we believe and do. We are committed to the faithful preaching, teaching, reading, and application of Scripture, trusting that God forms His people through His Word.

PRAYER

We believe the church is sustained not by human effort, but by the power and presence of God. Prayer is how we depend on the Spirit, seek God’s direction, intercede for others, and align our hearts with His will.

WORSHIP

Worship is the joyful response of a people transformed by grace. We gather to exalt Jesus Christ through singing, communion, generosity, obedience, and lives fully surrendered to the glory of God.

COMMUNITY

The Christian life was never meant to be lived alone. We pursue authentic, Christ-centered relationships where people are known, loved, encouraged, challenged, and formed together into mature disciples of Jesus.

MISSION

We are sent to the nations and our neighbors to proclaim Jesus Christ, make disciples, serve our communities, and plant churches so that more people might come to know, follow, and worship Him.
